I think I've stated something along these lines before. Nocerino performed just as well with Italy as with Ibra because the team played creatively/well. Pirlo free to play his game, Montolivo high up, Balotelli to play off of (poor man's Ibra sort of) and also Marchisio and De Rossi have good feet and move well. I want to say Cassano too, but I'm not sure they played simultaneously since Cassano was subbed early on and Noce came on towards the end of games.
Anyway, the point is that these players can replicate the role Ibra plays in a side (yes, wow). His constant running pays off because in such a side his runs are spotted. The coach knows this and can give directions. Here even if he does a good run he'll probably never see the ball.
