Come on, we bought Nesta for 30 million when he was needed. 40 millions today might be even less than 30 mil back then.
Actually 40 mil euros now should be more than 40 mil euro in the past if we see how strong EURO now AND how we have much money in the past (compare to lately situation where we have to make tight transfer fee).
For 40 mil euro I do doubt Milan can pay it without adding player(s) in that sum. Milan could probably give only 20-25 mil euro+player(s).
