One thing I hope is Allegri uses these games to gauge the players. For example, I've always maintained that Acerbi shows more character on the field than Bonera while Zapata today for me showed more leadership than Mexes (despite the red card). Now I'm aware that Mexes and Bonera have more experience behind them, and they haven't been too bad this year, but right now I'd rather take my chances with Zapata and Acerbi in defence.

Same in midfield, I think Nocerino's place should be reconsidered, he's just not pulling his weight this season and I'd feel happier with a guy like Urby in his place, especially after what I saw today (though Boateng did well too).

In attack, I'm keen to see what Pato can do in Pazzini's role.

Nocerino has quietly turned back into an extremely mediocre player. I am the most disappointed however with Mesbah. I thought that Allegri won't use De Sciglio as LB as he respects the seniority so Antonini will have to play it; but I guess that thought (De sciglio as LB) probably never was in his mind anyway. Mesbah has to be the worst player Milan has, despite the low quality our players now have.

Pato will destroy pazzini in any role.. I know he didn't have much chance but lol he can't even make a pass he can only score given half decent chances

As always, I find Allegri's comments to be comical. However, what's he supposed to say? He's not a coach who can motivate players like Conte or Mourinho, nor can he adapt his tactics to the players or to the situation at hand. Conte changes his tactics and his players seem able to switch from different formations. Mourinho's as well. Guardiola's for sure. Allegri is uncomfortable with that. I'm not liking him long term but I don't think we need to worry about that.

I still place the majority of blame on Berlusconi and Galliani. Those 2 clowns need to go, and hopefully if we bankrupt them, they'll go away. That's all I have to say about this game.

I don't disagree with what you said, but I can't help but feel what may happen if Berlusconi really sell the club. I know that I have been hoping for that to happen too, but somehow I just feel the uncertainty is hard to handle.

The best hope of course would be that Berlusconi and his family rekindles their interests in Milan and start investing again. Yes, I know how ridiculous and helpless that is.
