Summer mercato 2012
I was playing football manager a lot many yrs ago and I must admit a lot of their Top prospect really became top players, ESP those in the early yrs of FM. CR7 was unknown to the world but not FM world. Rossi is another one. Kompany is another. Ofcourse they have their misses too, like Vagner Love and Sahko.
What a surprise, Conte coming out and said he is innocent. Just a thought, if you are innocent, why r u being question? Why don't they question Allegri, Luis Enrique, Reja and other Serie A coaches?
Punish Conte and Juve for match fixing, relegate them again, give the title to Milan along with Bonucci and Chellini. In turn Milan will send Bonera and Mexes your way for good will.

Well, I don't like Conte one bit, but there is such a thing as being innocent until proven guilty. Innocent people do get questioned from time to time... And even if he is guilty from what I've gathered the (alleged) crime took place when he was at Siena. So no hope of Juve getting punished and us being assigned the scudetto, as someone suggested earlier.
Is it just me, or when it comes to mercato we get the most publicity?

I mean seriously, I've never seen so many player links with any other squads..
a couple of weeks ago, we were set to sign 502852042 different players, this week it seems as though ibra and other mercato specialists are saying we dont have money to spend.. where today this conte news breaks out (even though it has nothing to do with us) and new news from milannews etc that berlusconi will invest blablablabla..

I seriously dont want to go reading anymore transfer news until september lol..

But really, as it seems the only REAL links with some back up are strootman, tevez, ogbonna, acerbi and ganso..

Strootmans agent said he'll negotiate with milan after the euro cup.. and also reported but not by anyone significant to strootman that personal terms are already agreed..
Vertonghen said he'd never pass up a move to milan, but it looks like tottenham are 3/4 of the way to signing him..
Ogbonna said he's a milan fan, loves milan, we expressed some interest in him and he said he doesn't know whether he'll stay @ torino.
Acerbi's agent said that he's just waiting for milan to ready to have him sign.
Tevez, i dont know, we were close to signing him in january so i believe we'll pursue him this summer, the only way i see it not happening is if we keep being cheap and man city keeps being stubborn.
Ganso, always linked to us year in year out, a little worrysome about his knee surgery and his few injuries down the years hopefully it wont carry on, because it seems like we've negotiated for 55% of him with his agents or DIS i think its called? The other 45% will have to be negotiated with santos..

Anyone else IMO, all these other 50503590359 links are bs to me, like sneijder wanting milan because him and boateng are best friends.. or Neymar wanting milan because he wants to play with ganso for the rest of his career and ganso is 90% for certain to come to milan when he decides to leave santos..

Of all the defenders we have any significant link too I'd love to see Vertonghen. Ajax captain, played good in european competition and also voted best player of the year in eredivise(dutch league) thats also ontop of eriksen, van der wiel and whoever not to mention he's also the most matured and developed player out of all those defenders, ontop of also having a couple more years experience (25 yrs old)

I dont think it should even be considered to replace nesta with a young defender, even if its a big talent like Dede. I mean this defender is replacing NESTA, its nesta were talking about here.. And it's not like we did with out him the last two seasons and he sat out most games like gattuso/inzaghi/zambrotta.. he was still a very very solid defender and our best option beside silva in CL.. We cant expect a player like ogbonna who although talented played in seria b last season. Acerbi, honestly never heard any talk of him until our links with him, i dont expect him to be something special.. Dede, could be the next lucio and be a great defender i have no doubt, but at the same time doesn't have the experience and none of us really know too much about him(although i like the idea of having Silva and possibly the next best brazilian CB to lead our backline) .. People I'd rate in the same quality to be an instant replacement for nesta are defenders like pique,kompany,vidic.. Vertonghen is the closest thing for a reasonable price. Id mention hummels but his pricetag is something of 20-30mln also inflated because borussia is a team doing very well atm im sure he'll want to be a big part of the team.

Off topic:

I read that Petr Cech played 369 games for chelsea and in 178 he did not concede. Almost 50% clean sheets. Chelsea has an amazing defense.
No ho visto Superman volare, ma ho visto Super Pippo segnare. I supereroi esistono davvero.
That is an amazing stat Kastriot.

Not much mercato news, but this scandal is starting to get crazy now. Bonucci is the latest to be questioned (though it looks as though he'll keep his place in the Euro squad).

I find Conte's comments absolutely ridiculous. He's the last man to talk about integrity being involved in doping scandals, links to the mafia, calciopoli, this latest scandal and the hair transplant scandal. The man needs to go bald again, then I'll believe he has nothing to hide!! Angry

Oh, it looks as though Zdenek "Juve have won 22-23 scudetti" Zeman's favourite to coach Roma next season. This might not be the biggest news right now, but I do love watching this guys sides play. It'll be great to have him back in Serie A.

lol, yep, I think I would have remembered Big Grin As Lebrn cleared up, it was him who asked. Anyway, thanks for the info, it was useful either way Smile
After some old guards and Champs are leaving, apparently Hazard seems confirmed to be heading to Stamford Bridge, and rumour also says they re about to get Hulk as well.

Now thats what I call re-building !

I think its an easy choice to make when you're going to a team that just won the CL. Plus, you're gonna be playing with the likes of Mata, Torres, Ramires, David Luis, Obi Mikel, Mireless and Ivanovic, with a young (relatively) keeper who has a near 50% clean sheet record and a huge paycheck. Whats not there to love about the situation?

As for rebuilding, well.... from the names up above, you can totally see that they started their rebuilding process at least a year or two ago. Add Hazard into there and you already have 9 players on the field in a first 11.

I can only curse our own management for not having what it takes to sign the up and coming players and actually developing them. Merkel and Strasser could have been our Ramires and Mikel, but we wasted our talent pool by shipping them out last year. Players need time to develop, yes, but they also need time to be worked into a system. If you take them out of the system for a year or two and place them into another system, thats not helping our team when we need them the most. We just waste a lot more time trying to re-integrate them into the system again.
We got the young 'un's. We take out big gunz  Devilcool
If you add the sums of transfer of the mentioned names, it is close to 200mil. Why would Berlu spend 200mil on players who are hitting their prime, can actually play football with skills, can actually run for 90 minutes and hungry for winning? Berlu only like to spend 200mil(wages) on players who are passed their prime, rarely play football with skills, can't run and already won championships with other teams.
Ryo, I'm not sure if you're suggesting Chelsea developed Ramires, but if so I ought to mention he was already pretty well known before joining Chelsea.
