Hearing the possibility of Pato leaving kills me...
I still believe he can do well, remember form is temporary, talent is permanent...
This season has been horrible for him but every player had an occasional crap season. He still young, when he gets fit enough for at least 4 matches in a row I'm sure he will regain confidence and concentrate on his game. It's a pitty he didn't get called up for the NT against Bosnia (BTW Pjanic and Dzeko were very impressive) he obviously doesn't deserve to get called up but it would have helped his confidence.
About Thiago Silva, I think he's a loyal player, he wants to do well with us and he has already said that he wants to be captain and do what Maldini did.

I've been wanting to see Strootman for Dutch NT for some time now but I never saw him playing but it's hard to argue with that since the van Bommel - de Jong double-pivot are really tried-and-tested. Plus the former is their cap.

I also likes Van Bommel more He should renew.
