It seems like we are going into the direction where our midfielders are more modern and have similar qualities with one another. Krunic, Vertout and Kessie all are all around midfielders who can contribute on both sides of the ball, can win physical battles and play multiple positions. This is a pretty interesting contrast to what we have always done before, which was to sign specialists that fit specific roles. Biglia, for example, is a classic No 6 and nothing more. If we do have a midfield like that, I think we are going to see a more up tempo and balanced midfield where we can attack through any area of the pitch.
Also interesting that we are trying to sign new defenders. Looks like Musacchio might be on his way out if that were the case.

One can dream, no? I think, with work, they can all become great players, It's just about whether we've got the time,or we're forced, to be patient with them. About the defense, I wonder if there is any truth in Manolas rumor. There is no way we would buy him to be a backup. So, what about Caldara? Are we giving up on him already?
