I think your evaluation on el Shaarawy is fair, even though I think his main issue lies with his mental strength. He is a humble person and that doesn't seem to help when his team (and himself) is experiencing tough periods on or off the pitch.
I certainly don't want to see him lift Roma, who could be our direct rival if we were still dreaming of that 3rd spot.
I am not sure what happened between him and Milan. I am not sure if Milan gave up on him or he gave up on Milan. Either way, it is a shame, as I did like him, and wouldn't mind having kept him (many may not agree with me, I know).
