Yes, Galliani and Maldini are in the same team, so are the Fiori twins.

But I have not read any review either on Galliani or Maldini, seriously. I don't even know where they play?

After being away on tour the last few days, nothing happened with Milan beside Ibra leaving.

Thanks for the info anyway. Interesting to see how our youngsters develop, they could save us a lot of money in the future if they turn out to be first team players.

As Reza updated (thanks Reza!), Ely's on loan to Reggina. About the players we spoke of, Valoti and De Sciglio (El Shaarawy too to some extent) are part of the first team squad). Cristante, Ely, Albertazzi, Zigoni, Kingsley Boateng, Beretta and Ganz all playing experience with the first team squad, while Calvano, Fosatti (I think), Hottor (again I think), Prosenik and Verdi have all been called up for the first team squad, though I'm not sure if they played.

Point is, we are seeing these guys fighting for places to play a part in our future and they do show potential to do so. However, I think we can agree we need to see them playing a more prominent role in the squad than simply playing the odd random match. I also agree that in Italy we always see 25 year olds being seen as talents who can grow, which was fine up until around 10 years ago, but these days football's evolved and young players grow much faster.

What I will say is I think Allegri's been important for us here. Under Carlo, youngsters pretty much never got a look in, with there being a clear preference for established stars, while Leo worked with what he had, mostly re-integrating homegrown players who had been out of the club (Antonini and Abate). Allegri has given youngsters a much bigger chance to play an important role in the side. Merkel and Strasser are hopefully the start to a much bigger trend in the club with youth players coming through and taking on responsibility in the squad. Last season, El Shaarawy broke through too to great effect, while based on what I hear I think Valoti might have done had it not been for injuries. De Sciglio too broke through to show he can be trusted and it was refreshing to see Allegri wasn't afraid to put him in against Inter in the derby, even if we did end up losing.

Hopefully Allegri's faith in young players will pay off, it's essential these days when the club can't spend much. Apparently we have quite a few who can turn into decent players. Appreciate the info from all participants in the conversation. Okmilan

RE: Summer mercato 2012 - ACM2023 - 07-24-2012

It is said that Yanga-Mbiwa has agreed personal terms with Milan. Now it is up to the club of Montpellier.

Typical Milan move, if that was to be believed.

RE: Summer mercato 2012 - WCmilan - 07-24-2012

We're about to sign a great defender in Mbiwa I posted on article from goal.com on the previous page if any of you'd like to read it the author explains Mbiwa inside out and how he'll be the best replacement for silva not only because he can achieve a similar level in the next year or two but because he's already a very solid option, young and a better economical purchase then say trying to replace silva with ramos or vidic or somehting who would still cost us 30-40mln + will be impossible to get..

I believe we should still look @ strootman or sahin or even diarra for midfield.. then i guess our midfield is fine but I'd really like to see two attackers come in.. one to replace ibra, so that would have to be our big mr x signing, and a player to have maxi lopez role, but of course an upgrade like matri or destro somebody young preferably as they won't mind getting not too much playing time even pazzini but inter won't let him go cheaply.

RE: Summer mercato 2012 - ACM2023 - 07-24-2012

I can't be bothered to do any research on anyone who is not yet a Milan player, but I hope that your evaluation will be accurate on Mbiwa. I do know that he is young and despite that, he is experienced having played 5 or 6 full seasons. I also heard that Raiola said he is a great defender, but I would certainly just focus on our own players, also to avoid the unnecessary hard feeling when we don't end up buying him (it is all possible with this current management).

RE: Summer mercato 2012 - ElMago99 - 07-24-2012

Balzaretti's Agent has met with Napoli, Lazio, & Milan.

All (3) teams offered him a 4 year contract worth 1.6M per year. No agreement with Palermo has been reached with any of the clubs. Balzaretti has 1 year on his current contract with Palermo.

Galliani confirmed Kaka link in a sly way saying " Sometimes love returns..."

I swear if we sign Kaka, even on Loan, I'm not watching this team anymore. What a joke this Galliani is..it's really sad. Do we not have scouts...???

Didn't Balzaretti say that he would only go to PSG if he does not stay in Palermo? Interesting news. I hope that we get him, but 4-year contract seems a bit long to me. The salary sounds reasonable.

Of course the whole story could be just fabrication, so I am not putting too much hope on it.

As for Kaka, I hope that his leech agent/father will insist on the high salary. I don't hate Kaka anymore, but having him back is just a step back.

I think it was on milannews last season or last year probably. From the news I got information that Galliani is talented right fullback.

Just saw the highlight of the Shalke match. My god Valoti's taller than I was expecting Big Grin
