Yeah no way it's 50m+player. It's 20m+player. We'd rather straight cash homie

Pretty much. Although I would add that selling Gigio is good for business regardless considering he'll go sometime and we're at a point where we need to start giving Plizzarri a go or he'll ask to leave soon to ensure game time

Agreed that it's not 50+Areola. 20+Areola isn't enough... 30+ Areola would be closer. But agreed. Cash would be the ideal.

RE: Summer Mercato 2019 - slifersd - 06-27-2019

Seems like we are working on a lot of deals right now and none of them is going well lol. If I am honest though, I wouldn't necessarily care all that much if none of these deals go through. The players we are linked with are at best mediocre, and probably not even that for the most part. Truth be told, the only players that I really wanted us to get and are linked with have been Fekir and Ceballos, and maybe Theo Hernandez. I think those guys would improve the quality in our biggest areas of need, and have the potential to explode into stardom when they are given playing time.

The likes of Veretout or Lovren or Kramatic are the kind of players we have been bring in for years. They have some quality, but don't have enough quality to delivery week in and out. They will have some good games from here and there, and then drive us crazy by doing essentially nothing the rest of the time. I have seen too many players like that come through our team the last decade or so to get upset with us not getting them.

I would add Torreira to the top list.

And I'm not sure I'd have Kramaric in the bottom list, although he doesn't belong in the top either.

We need some signings like those in the bottom list but I'd be happier if they were either cheap/young. As in Krunic for 8mill or signing someone like Tonali for 25m vs Veretout...

Then again, contrary to many in the group, I'm hoping for a slower and steadier incline. Focusing more on improving our brand of football and bringing players through rather than buying our way to the top.

We'd get more for him if we were in a better situation too

The valuation seems ok for a starting point. If they think he's worth 50, then i'm sure that can be brought up a little, whoch would be in line with the market. I think, after last season, he should be about 70. But with everything going on, I'd take 60 and I think PSG will probably pay 60 (with some bonuses included).

I just don't see why we would have a need for Areola. We already have a very good GK ready to take over as well as a young one with super potential. So why would we let PSG pay 20/30 + Areola. We simply don't need him and they seem to be the ones wanting/needing Gigio.

There is one thing that would make everything make sense, IF we were to accept Areola in the deal. It's what we've basically known. We are not after cash. Elliot has cash. We just need to make capital gains. Basically what I'm saying is the 2 deals will be treated separately. Gigio away for 50mil gives us 50mil gain. Then we buy Areola from them and spread the expense over 5 years for example.

Not saying I want us to do this, but it would make sense. It would mean Elliot doesn't care about the cash. Just get the gain in so that we can get away from FFP.

On a separate toic....
"Inter youth team striker Andrea Adorante will return to Parma in a deal worth €5m, claim multiple sources"!

How the hell are these peasants able to sell a nobody for 5mil??? We could barely get 4.5mil for Gomez, who is a starting CB for Paraguay and has played in the World Cup. Bacca left for 7mil FFS!!
This is unreal...

I get that, and you're likely right. I'm just thinking along the lines of why spend the $$ if it's not needed. Even if it is spread over 5 years.

RE: Summer Mercato 2019 - ACM2019 - 06-27-2019

I forgot where I read the rumor (could be here, LOL), but the reason that Areola is allegedly included in the deal is simply because that Raiola doesn't want two of his agents fighting for one position. LOL. This fat bastard thinks that he can have everything. Why doesn't he sell Areola to Manchester United for 250M and Donnarumma to PSG for 270M?

Also, hate to say this, but if we sell G. Donnarumma, I bet that A. Donnarumma would still stay and consume the 1M salary. Didn't Digao stay on Milan payroll even after Kaka left?

RE: Summer Mercato 2019 - am I Milan enough? - 06-27-2019

even if we accepted cash + player in this deal, it shouldnt be a GK included, we should ask for other players to be included.. Veratti for eg.

RE: Summer Mercato 2019 - ACM2019 - 06-27-2019

I believe that's all media BS, or maybe Raiola BS. I refuse to believe that our management would be that stupid to get another GK and lose cash when we already have perfect candidates in the team.
