yep, I remember we played against them. they even bought a goalkeeper and an attacker from us, Taibi and Maniero.

(not-so-super Sagrin ) Pippo Maniero even scored quite a few scores for us in his very short stint with us, iirc. Taibi was just an unpredictable dude. I remember him making some fantastic saves, scoring a last-ditch header off a corner (not with us), and some major, hilarious blunders. Though, I must admit that I don't remember the occasion (or, even, was it with us? or with other team?). all I remember is just that Taibi made big mistakes. Big Grin So, I went to YouTube and found some. (would appreciate if anyone with knowledge could help out more--if he made any blunder with us).

I watched the extra time. I must say that we were the (much?) better team and absolutely didn't deserve the loss. The penalties were terrible, but it was so unfair that we had to resort to that (and eventually lost out).

Are we going to reach Venezia's stadium by rowing the boat... poor Kessie might again has to be the captain of the ship....  Icon_lol2

RE: Serie A - nefremo - 06-01-2021

I remember Maniero on Championship Manager 2001/2002. This dude would score a shit ton of goals for Venezia in that game. Pissed me off. I bought him a couple times because of that, but it was as if that damn game was programmed for him to ONLY score for Venezia and he did squat all for me at Milan. Big Grin

As for Taibi...spot on. That guy would have some crazy games where he would stop everything. Then, sometimes in the same game even, he'd make the dumbest mistake. All in all, a very known name to Serie A followers....but in reality, a terrible GK. Big Grin

Speaking of old Manager games, anyone remembers which version was one where you had option to bribe referees? Later it was vanquished from game cause of "fair play".

Icon_lol2 Never knew this was an option in any game. Haha
No wonder Juventus was doing this. They must have thought it's ok, since it's all good in CM, it must be ok

Atalanta will buy Christian Romero for 16M earlier than expected. Imagine buying the guy crowned as 'Defender of the year' for just 16M Undecided

Yup, we were playing as kids, it's one of first releases ever I think... 97 ,98 or something like that. I remember news section was designed like actual newspaper. You could bribe referees (not all of them though, just some with certain "traits", for penalties and goals, but there were always chance that media will find out about bribe and if that happens it was immediate sack and exile Big Grin .
